Managing Partner and Co-Founder
With over 10 years of international operational experience and a career in the telecommunications industry, plus an additional 5 years of experience in corporate and institutional venture capital, Oliver contributes his experience, management skills together with excellent network, financial background and market knowledge to the team.
Before co-founding smac partners GmbH in 2006, Oliver served as CFO at Siemens Acceleration in Communications. In 2000 he worked for Siemens Mobile as Vice President Strategy and Marketing BA, responsible for the enormous sponsoring and marketing budget of the wireless handset division. Prior to that, he worked at VP level at Siemens in different functions along the various value-added chains of the telecommunications industry, building up new business fields and branches in various geographies.
With his deep insight into complex corporate structures, as well as value-added chains in the telecommunications industry, Oliver acquired hands-on experience in building up new business and dealing with challenging sales and marketing tasks worldwide. As such, he was accountable for a business volume of over € 300 million and a workforce in excess of 100.
Oliver Kolbe holds a masters degree in business administration and finance from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany.
